A detective examines a crime scene and interrogates who he believes is the culprit. ​

​Created for a lighting-focused class assignment, this one-take short film explores soft, bounced lighting while telling a stylized murder mystery entirely without sound or color.

 

Inspired by the location, a room that is painted half black and half white, I used the environment to distinguish shifts in location and time. The film incorporates flashbacks and time compression within a continuous camera move. The project required extensive pre-production and precise choreography to coordinate the cast, camera, and lighting in a single uninterrupted take.
